Welcome to the first episode of Marketing without the Marketing. My name is Michael Boezi and I’m a Content Strategist. My clients are those who are building an audience using content. They are usually small business owners, authors, or writers. In other words, entrepreneurs of all types.
I help them with everything from strategy to tactics. Setting goals based on clear business objectives, building a strategy, and then executing it. Everything from writing, production, and deployment to measuring the results and iterating.
The purpose of this podcast is to show you how that’s done. I’ll give you an overview of the principles behind content strategy to get you thinking about your own business – and I’ll include questions and issues that come up in the real world working with real clients.
Dolores O'Rourke says
I have been interested in writing a book for several years. I am researching content strategy in order to realize my goals. Establishing a following or making connections with possible readers as mentioned by M. Boezi is a good first step. Exploring all the available sources i.e. social media, colleagues, etc. is another perspective as mentioned by M. Boezi I plan to take advantage of. I look forward to the subsequent podcasts on this topic and intend to take M. Boezi’s workshop.

Thank you so much! I encourage you to write that book! In today’s world, there’s nothing in your way.

Great advice here for any entrepreneur or authorpreneur looking to use content strategy to expand their customer base. Thanks, Michael.

Thank you, Ryan—much appreciated! Today’s authors are savvy. They know that the rules have changed, and that they need to function as entrepreneurs—even if they are working with a traditional publisher. See the next episode, Who Can Benefit from Content Strategy?, for more on this.
