Introduction: Starting a Business Series (A Case Example)
Thinking of starting a business? Or maybe you’ve already got the process rolling? Great. We need new solutions to persistent problems.
That’s why we’re in business, right? To solve problems. It’s what I love about my role as a practitioner who helps people turn an idea into impact.
But starting out is difficult – there’s so much to learn, and the challenges that you and your business will face are as unique as your own fingerprint. It will be up to you to chart your own path.
But it helps to have a map. That’s why I wanted to create this series on how to start a business, taking you through my process as I built my own company, Control Mouse Media, LLC. In this 10-part series, we go from a standing start on Day 1, and take you through all the major milestones of success and failure.
I can’t promise that I can help you. After all, this is only my path as one small business owner. I don’t have all the answers, but what I hope is that my experience will serve as a blueprint for you and others – to adapt and make it your own.
Episode 120 of this podcast serves as an introduction to this series, starting with the big secret – and a common misconception that small business owners harbor. Listen to it here or subscribe in Apple Podcasts.
