Part 5: SEO for Small Business
You don’t be an expert to do SEO. You simply need to get set up properly, learn the fundamentals, and then make it a part of your workflow. To get you started, it helps to understand though: What is Google’s intent? Looking at Google’s algorithm updates gives us some important clues.
Every one of the major updates has focused on one thing – to deliver the most relevant, high-quality content to the person who’s searching. In other words, Google’s goal is the same as ours. This is good news, because it means that we can focus on the content and what it can do for our customers.
Episode 137 provides a checklist of what Google wants to see from your content, and a brief walk-through of the major updates to the almighty Google algorithm. Listen to it here or in your favorite pod player.
